The race season in Salisbury usually happens between early May and mid October.
There have been some big names in the racing world race at Salisbury over the years, amongst them is top jockey Lestor Piggot who made his public race debut at Salisbury racecourse back in 1948 at the age of 12 where he took part in an apprentice jockeys race.
