The fantastic World Heritage site of Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument situated on the outskirts of Salisbury amongst the beautiful picturesque surroundings. The mysterious landmark is said to have been rebuilt several times within it's history and what we see there today is the remains of a ring of standing stones.

Almost one million people from around the globe travel each year to visit Stonehenge, making it one of the most famous sites in the world. Guided tours are available via a number of local tour companies which allows visitors to get closer to the stones during their visit.
