Wilton House and Gardens
Since 1951, Wilton House and Gardens have been open to the public and are situated in Wilton, just a short drive from St Anns Forge in Salisbury. The English country house is home to the current Earl of Pembroke, William Herbert and his family. He and his family occupy around a third of the house privately whilst the majority of the remainder is open for public viewing.
The house and gardens is a fantastic place to visit with the family and includes an adventure playground for the children to enjoy within the grounds. The grounds of Wilton House make an ideal venue for shows and events and in recent years has become the home of the annual ‘Classic Supercar’ show where people gather to see a wide range of classic and modern supercars on show.
Scenes from the 2009 period drama 'The Young Victoria' which starred actors such as Emily Blunt, Rupert Friend and Paul Battany were filmed at Wilton House. The feature length movie tells the story about the early years of Queen Victoria's reign.
